Blue Lotus / aka Blue Lily
Plant use: Used as a mild inebriant by the Ancient Egyptians who revered this flower, planting it in the moats that surrounded the pyramids. Blue lotus is noted for its calming euphoria, aphrodisiac qualities, and mild sedative effects. It gives the user a sense of peaceful relaxation.
Preparations: Soak flowers in alcohol (vodka, tequila or white wine) for 1-3 weeks for potent aphrodisiac and psychotropic effect. Also makes a pleasant tea or smoke.
